Due to a high demand in the medical field, everywhereIM has developed The Antibiotics App. A COVID-19 component is naturally included in the app.
The app provides advice for therapy and prophylaxis of common infectious disease conditions, as well as the main properties of all antimicrobials.
Advice for adults is based on existing national evidence-based guidelines and policies in teaching hospitals.
This app is CE marked.
Menu
In the app’s menu the following topics are displayed:
Adults, Children, Medication, Isolation, Hand Hygiene, Sepsis & Editorial Board.
Adults
Advice on allergy, antibiotic prophylaxis and antibiotic therapy.
Children
Recommendations regarding antibiotic therapy.
Medication
Provides information regarding the mechanism of action, effect, and typical side effects of various antibacterial agents, antifungal agents, antiparasitic agents, and antiviral agents.
Isolation
Provides indications for isolation, information on different types of isolation and peroperative isolation measures.
Hand Hygiene
Provides information on hand cleaning, hand disinfection, and hand care.
Sepsis
Provides information on SIRS, sepsis, related organ dysfunction, and septic shock. Various pathogens are mentioned, as well as the algorithm for assessing shock and treating a septic patient.
Tools
The Tools tab contains several scoring tools, such as the SIRS score and the Early Warning score.
